The economy of a country is directly proportional to the rate of employment of her citizen, when there is high rate of employment the economy became stable, while in the case of unemployment the economy deteriorate.

The downfall of Nigerian economy is indirectly linked to unemployment, a greater percentage of Nigerian youths both educated and non-educated are unemployed, the increase in population and over reliance on government offers is the major cause of unemployment among Nigerian youths, which is of devastating effect to the development of the country.

In one of the speeches delivered by the president, it was said that Nigerian government does not have the facility to employ all the youths both graduate and non-graduate hunting for jobs, and more are graduating every year, most at times those already in the government payroll were not yet paid the minimum wage, some works for month without a pay, and some are on the sacking list.

Financial freedom is attainable only through Entrepreneurship. The best and reliable solution to this ordeal is "ENTREPRENEURSHIP", entrepreneurship is the process of learning skills, bringing new ideas and establishing one self, entrepreneurship education should be made compulsory at the basic education levels of the Nigerian education system, teaching youths self-reliance and innovation.

Entrepreneurship Education can also be taught at rural areas having no access to formal education, through acquisition skills programs sponsored by government or other concerned citizens.

The government should educate it is citizens most especially the youths on the importance and rewards of Entrepreneurship at both individual and national level.

Apart from eradicating poverty and unemployment at individual level, there are various rewards of entrepreneurship which include;

Job Creation: Entrepreneurs help the government by creating job opportunities for the masses thereby reducing over dependence on government offers therefore eradicating Unemployment.

Increase in GDP: entrepreneurs are innovators, when the government invest well in entrepreneurship education, the rate of exports of Nigerian products will increase thereby decreasing the rate of importation.

Goodbye to unemployment

Poverty and hunger eradication: more entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector means increase in food production and decrease in inflation rate, when the production of food increases it will be affordable to all, with this hunger and poverty are eradicated all together.

Unemployment is a big problem threatening the economy of our country, in other to eradicate such a threat the government and all stakeholders should work together to ensure effective and quality Entrepreneurship Education and ensure it is implementation through giving out loans and grants to trained individuals. policies, rules, and regulations should be made suitable for entrepreneurs to have a smooth and stress free business Environment.
